Lock your front door if you don't want people walking in to shop. I get it now that you are "appointment only, but loose the attitude. I needed a gown for this weekend and for sure will spend lots elsewhere. Your not very professional, arrogance is what I was met with.
We are by appointment only to better serve our customers. We do however take walk-ins when we can, but unfortunately we were not able to fit you in at the time you arrived and kindly asked you to come back in 1 hour. It was clear you were very frustrated with our store policy and we apologize for not being able to fit you in right at that time as we try to accommodate to the best of our ability and availability.
I can’t say enough praises about my experience with Your Wedding Place. My spouse and I out of the blue planned a surprise elopement. I went in to Your Wedding Place with only 9 weeks prior to our planned date to get married. Maddy and Janelle went over and above, and were even able to live buy and order my dress so that it was an almost perfect size. It came in ahead of schedule and they even steam pressed it before and after I had some minor alterations done. Thank you for making my special day so much smoother especially with such short notice!
At our arrival for our booked appointment at Your Wedding Place, Red Deer, an excellent employee named Rachel was getting ready to end her shift. Instead of leaving for the day, she stayed and set our group up in comfy chairs to watch our graduate try on dresses. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who is booking an appointment in the future. She was very efficient, professional and has a fabulous work ethic. She actually helped our group and another young beautiful graduate and her parents at the same time. Thank you Rachel for staying past your shift and helping us and the other group find their perfect grad dresses.

I can’t say enough good about this place and the people who work there. Because of Covid and the restrictions, we decided to get married quickly and have a celebration later. I didn’t plan to get a dress but the day before my wedding, I called the store “just to see”. I told them what style of dress I would like and my size and asked if I could come in and look. They told me that they don’t do walk ins but they can fit me in between appointments. My daughter and I drove over right away. When we arrived, the dressing room was already filled with dresses of my size and style. I tried on the first one and just like that, I said “Yes To The Dress”. Jesica listening to everything I had said on the phone. I never imagined that they could find me exactly what I wanted in that short of time. It was a perfect experience and I went back the next day to pick up my freshly steamed dress and got married???? Oh, and my daughter found a perfect dress for the wedding as well!!! I definitely recommend them!

Maddy and Janelle went above and beyond for me when looking for my wedding dress! I tried on MANY, and they talked with me and gave me all my options. They didn’t let my indecisiveness bother them, and were so excited for me when I FINALLY said yes! Beyond that they were so accommodating when bringing my bridesmaids in, letting me book separate appointments as my bridesmaids all had different schedules. They talked me through colours, and talked with each of my bridesmaids about the sizing process and what they could expect when the dresses come in. Through my many times in the store I’ve been witness to the beautiful environment they create. Everyone is beautiful, everyone is deserving and everyone is more than enough. I believe my experience is the experience of many, and that is the biggest testament to how incredible Your Wedding Place is. I cannot WAIT to get married (and send all the pics) Thank you guys!

I brought my daughter there during your grad dress trunk show. We were very disappointed in her experience. She picked her dresses out in 5 minutes then had to wait 20 minutes for a change room. After trying on her 4 dresses, she was told to go find herself more dresses. She only tried 3 more on, then she was asked to leave the dressing room as her time was up. What a disappointment for her. Not one person offered to help her, from picking out dresses or for someone to help answer questions about a dress she wanted to purchase. This is my third daughter graduating, to which we bought the first two daughters from you. You have lost our business for the remainder of our daughters.

Very disappointed with the service we received from Maddy at my daughters grad dress shopping. We were made to move to the back spot. To the smaller mirrors. We were made to feel like our time wasn’t important. When we showed our disappointment. And shook my head I was told not to shake my head like I was a child! I had the best experience buying my wedding dress at Your Wedding Place!! I did not have an appointment, it was only to quickly look at dresses for my destination wedding. My Mom and I decided to stop in for “just a quick look to give me ideas”. I was greeted immediately, even though it appeared they were very busy with other bridal appointments. They asked if they could help me, I told them what type of dress I was looking for. The sales lady directed me to a rack of destination dresses. I picked two styles out and they took me to the waiting room. Not once did I feel rushed or an inconvenience! I picked the first dress I tried on, ordered and paid for it. I was literally in and out of the store in 40 minutes!! I am a mature bride excited to be getting married for the second and last time.....my dress buying experience at Your Wedding Place was perfect!! Thank you!!
Came to Your wedding place in search of a grad dress. Total last minute and had no time to order, they were so kind helpful and accommodating i found my absaloute perfect dream dress!! Couldnt even say enough good things about their store even if i tried!! The ladies there are amazing and so kind and helpful! Definately know where im going again if i ever end up getting married!!

I've been hunting for a long time for my wedding dress, and had gotten so frustrated with the sample sizes most stores carry. I'm a plus size girl (size 16/18) and I was fed up with 'Well, it won't fit but we can hold it up in front of you!', but that was not at all the experience here! I'd pretty much given up on finding 'the one' and had planned on just settling for an ok one I found in Edmonton.
I visited last Sunday during their Sample Sale. The store was very busy with the sale, but the ladies working there made me feel like I was the only bride they were helping. After trying on my third dress, and asking what it was I liked/didn't like, the lady helping me lit up and said "I know the PERFECT dress for you!" and off she ran. She came back a moment later with the dress. She was right - it fit like a dream, and gave me shivers! I did not want to take it off.
Even though they were busy and could have used the change room, they gave me all the time I needed and never once rushed me. I was able to spin and admire myself in the mirror as much as I wanted to.
THIS is what dress shopping is supposed to be like. Thank you THANK YOU thank you ladies for making me feel so wonderful and helping me find THE ONE.
I was looking for a very specific dress and this was the only store that carried it. I drove up with my mom and best friend. Going to the store was a wonderful experience and I really got the bridal experience. This was the two other stores in Calgary and left feeling very disappointed. I found the most amazing dress and can't wait till it comes in. Skip all other stores and go here!
I can’t say enough good things about this place! I’m not a big dress wearer and I went into this whole “dress shopping thing” with much dread. Boy was I wrong!! The entire experience from the moment I stept foot in the door to the moment I walked out...saying I had a great experience would be an understatement. The staff was an absolute pleasure to work with and made every minute special for me...that is a great group of ladies in there! Thank you so much for a wonderful memory!!

I have went her 2x. The first was to try on a dress my mom spotted (similar to another dress I had loved at another store but MUCH more affordable). I tried it on and loved it. They ladies working were super helpful (both with finding my dress and also in explaining my ideas for my wedding!). I later came in with my bridesmaids to pick out their dresses. Once again, they were very helpful and let us stay a littler later to finalize their choices... Would HIGHLY recommend this place :)
As a person who does not usually wear dresses, I was dreading the entire process of trying on dress after dress. Turns out it was I had absolutely no reason to worry! After just two hours (and one fabulous consultant) later, my mum and bridesmaids and I were on our way to lunch to celebrate finding the perfect dress :)

I bought my dress at your sale today and it was the best experience I have ever had! You ladies rock! Even though you were very busy, all you ladies made sure that everyone was taken cared for! I was there for three hours trying to find the right dress! I never felt rushed or ignored! Everyone offered opinions on every dress that I had tried on and retried on! 5 stars isn't a high enough rating for me! Thank You again ladies!!

I got married in 2008 and found the perfect dress here. The staff was so kind to us, I walked in, seen a dress on a mannequin and said "that's the one!" well they stripped that mannequin as quick as could be and it was perfect. They were very accommodating to me coming in on 3 separate occasions
