My career has spanned over 30 years! I opened my first salon in 1988, and am currently the owner/stylist of The WorX Salon, which opened in 2002. I specialize in precision cutting, colouring, highlights and permanent waving!

Styling hair for RD TV, putting on hair shows to raise money for various charities, taking part in Movember, supporting Crime Stoppers for many years—these are just some of the events the Salon has touched on!

Keeping up with the latest techniques by attending classes to improve my skills! Coming up with styles individualized to each clients needs is of most importance!

I have to say that hair needs an expert with passion and commitment.

I am a senior stylist and have been working at The WorX hair salon for 7 years. In this time, I have taken many courses, learning new colour and cut techniques, and have gotten to go on many trips for hair conventions and hair shows. I am well-educated and am always learning the newest trends and styles. I offer a wide range of services to our salon, hair, hair extensions, lash extensions, spray tanning and photography. I love all aspects of the industry and am happy I'm apart of it and working with a great crew at The WorX.

As a stylist for over 22 years, working in only 3 salons has enhanced my work values. My talent is creating natural looking colours and highlights, but I also like to shake it up from time to time, completing the work with a great haircut. Continuing education keeps my motivation strong and techniques current. Paying attention to the small details is a quality I take pride in. From babies' first cut to seniors, men and women alike, I enjoy the variety and challenge of creating something unique for anyone who visits my chair. My number one goal is for my clients to be confident and satisfied with their hair.

Since joining the industry in 2002, I have continuously strived to be up-to-date on the latest techniques and newest products on the market. In 2007, I began work as a Redken Artist, travelling western Canada and educating salon professionals on the principles of design. By working on photo shoots and runway models, I have been able to fully utilize my skills. In 2011, I decided to take a step back from educating and get back to my true passion - helping clients from behind the chair. I believe feeling confident and looking great always brings out the beauty from within.

Hi, my name is Monique. I am absolutely in love with the beauty industry. I am very passionate about my work. I enjoy creating a diverse range of looks that accentuate personal beauty for all clients. I draw inspiration from art, music and Classic Hollywood. I enjoy working with color and I love the fine details involved in the "finish" of the hair. I believe continuing education is vital to success and my clients can trust me to keep up with the latest techniques and hair trends to then become customized styles individualized to their needs.
