I got a baby cakes, pie maker. I really didn’t think I was going to use it much, it was more for the grandkids to play with when they came over. But one time I thought I would try making some tarts for my husband who really likes butter tarts, but is diabetic. So I made the recipe for the crust as given in the recipe book included. I made them made with sucralose and a little corn syrup.
I am hooked on this babycakes maker. It makes exactly 8 little tarts with the recipe given. I’m happy, my kids can’t tell the difference, and my husband can have his favourite tart again! I am thrilled! And it only takes less than an hour, filling, crust and cooking! Wish you could smell my house now!

I made the mistake of living close to their last location. I purposely avoided this store as I was warned of this delicious addiction. This was 2012. I left the area for 8 years and always stopped when I came through. I am back again and there is no other cupcake that has come close to Babycakes. Thank you for the happiness you spread (or lack there of on my part because I do not share these)!

I bought a couple of different flavours. The buttercream on each one was grainy and too sweet. The chocolate cake was gummy. Not impressed with the look of the shop. The display cases were empty and the shop was dark and uninviting.

These cupcakes are absolutely amazing, They are to die for honestly I love them and the staff are so friendly, however as I was just eating one of the cupcakes I had a hair in my mouth and when I pulled it out it was baked into the cupcake... totally grossed out and now anxious to ever eat another again, hopefully it was just an unlucky cupcake... still tasted good. Please make sure your bakers are wearing hair nets!!

I think they are okay; however, when I think butter cream then it’s exactly that. The icing on these are more to the icing sugar rather than the butter cream. If they had less icing sugar the topping would be smooth and not hard. Flavours were good but didn’t have enough wow for me as only taste the sweet not the creamy.

WOW!! I cannot even fully describe how impressed I am with the wedding cake I ordered for my intimate wedding ceremony!! The cake was very moist and rich tasting and icing perfectly done as we discussed. I spoke with Cassandra while ordering gender reveal cupcakes for my family in Red Deer and she was incredibly helpful and walked me through everything. My family was able to Skype with us while we took a bite from our cupcakes and them theirs. They said they were delicious! Thank you again! If ever we are in Red Deer we will be making a stop.

This past weekend I had gone into the shop to pick up cupcakes for a birthday I had my baby with me in her carseat so my hands were full to begin with, the two ladies that were working did not bother offering to help me with the door. I managed but that's not my point they weren't busy but couldn't be bothered. I have worked in the services industry and customer care is #1 so is common courtsey.

It was my mom's birthday this weekend and I wanted to send cupcakes to her at work on Friday for her and her coworkers. Cassandra was so helpful, sweet and friendly. She made my transaction quick and simple, and emailed me copies of my receipt. This is the second time I've used Babycakes Cupcakery while living hundreds of miles away from Red Deer. I called in for a delivery order because of all the amazing things I had heard about this place. A young lady by the name of Cassandra helped me over the phone and I cannot emphasize enough of how patient and how courteous she was. She was kind, extremely helpful, she took her time to go through my options, and was very thorough with the order. Thank you Cassandra for being such an ambassador for your company. I've ordered a 6 pack for 5 years for my Dad's birthday as we live in Ontario and he lives in Red Deer. Every year he calls a lets me know how yummy they were. Great long distance gift that makes him happy as he doesn't need anymore ties :-D. One day I hope to get to Red Deer and try one myself!
